Does anyone know how this works, where to start, or what the rules, and regulations are? I’m having a hard time holding a job because of depression, and need some time to get stable, and back on track. Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.

Call or go online to the Social Security Office

You can get all the information that you need there.

first things first. you have to get the forms to fill out from the Social security office. They will most likely have you evaluated by one of their approved psycologists. They need all your doctors records and medications you are on, as well as all the jobs you have held down. Its a lengthy process I know that. I tried to get SSI for my Epilepsy and I got denied. They had me see one of their doctors and had all the records from mine as well, but still denied, I appealed and got denied again.
